Top 10 Posts of 2021

Here we are in our second full year of the pandemic. It’s interesting to see how things have changed and stayed the same over all of this time. And it’s interesting to see how intentions and goals change, depending on what is happening at any given time.

Some of you may know that I had contracted a mild case of COVID in November of 2020. I thought I was over it and then a couple of weeks later, I got hit with the COVID clots. (You can read more about my experiences over at Andi Explains It All.) So I spent a lot of the last year focusing on trying to get better and didn’t have as much time to devote to updating the blogs. But I did get in a lot of author interviews and book promotions as well as giveaways. And of course, I reshared some of the favorite recipes and whatnot from previous years.

So what were people reading in 2021? The following is the list of the Top 10 posts read in 2021. I did not include the posts that were strictly giveaways. Which ones do you remember?

#8 Nutty Irishman: Hot and Cold

I was introduced to the Nutty Irishman at my local Irish pub almost 20 years ago. To this day, it is still a favorite of mine. I drink it straight, on the rocks, or even add it to a cup of coffee or hot chocolate in the winter. It’s so delicious! Get the recipe here.

It’s appropriate that this one is #4 because National Spaghetti Day takes place on the 4th of January. Did you know that spaghetti has its own holiday? What’s your favorite way to make it? I share around 30 fun recipes from around the web here.

#3 Strawberry and Peach Moscato Mimosas

I do miss going out for brunch and having mimosas on Sundays. But the nice thing is, they are so easy to make at home! And with so many different flavors of sparkling wines and juices, the possibilities are endless. Here are a few ideas I played with one week that involved strawberry and peach flavors in the mimosas.

#2 Interview with Susanne M. Dutton, author of Sherlock Holmes and the Remaining Improbable

#1 10 Purple Rain Cocktails – RIP Prince

Without fail, this post is the most popular every single year. I don’t think many of us are yet over losing our beloved musical artist. And raising a cocktail in his honor is another way to celebrate him. I recommend listening to his music while you’re doing it. Check out the collection here.

Now on to 2022…
