What kind of music do you listen to while you’re working, reading, or whatever? I have a widely eclectic taste in music, so you never know what’s going to pop up when I’m listening to music. And different albums will put me in different moods and speed up my writing. Author K. Hanson had a definite playlist in mind while working on Morgan Is Missing, the second book in the Kayla Falk series. Listening to the right music is an important part of my writing process, as it helps me achieve the right mood for whatever scene I happen to be writing. For Morgan is Missing, the playlist I used while writing is fairly haunting and sad, as fits the subject matter of human trafficking. I won’t go through the whole list, but I will name a few highlights. Topping the list is a beautiful cover of Sweet Child O’ Mine that fits the mood. I also have some of Johnny Cash’s slower songs, some chilling violin covers of various songs, and classical music that fit.
