31 Days of Slow Cooker Meals: Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob is my favorite thing in the summer months. I get so excited when I see it available in the stores and am always sad when it’s gone. And I want fresh corn, locally sourced. That always tastes the best. And there are so many ways that you can make corn. Check out all of the amazing flavor that you can get by making it in your slow cooker!

To make corn on the cob in the slow cooker, you will need the following:

  • fresh corn
  • aluminum foil
  • butter
  • salt

How to make corn on the cob in your slow cooker:

  1. Husk your corn, making sure to remove all of those silky hairs.
  2. Place each piece of corn on a piece of foil. Top with a pat of butter and season to taste with salt. (Note: At this point you can also use other flavorings like pepper, chili powder, garlic salt etc. Season to your hearts content!)
  3. Wrap the corn tightly in aluminum foil and place it in your slow cooker. Fill it with enough corn to feed your family, but make sure the lid still closes completely. (You can cut the ears of corn in half to fit more in there.)
  4. Cook the corn on on high for 2 to 3 hours until it is tender. The more cobs you have in your slow cooker, the longer it will take.
