I don’t know how it is where you live, but we’ve been having an extremely hot summer around here. That means that water consumption is even more necessary than ever. The water where I live is theoretically safe to drink right out of the tap. But after growing up with well water, I have always had a hard time drinking city water. I actually love to entertain, and summer is one of the best times to do so. Okay,  I am a July baby, so I like to celebrate and party for the entire month or so. I don’t know about you, but my allergies are absolutely hideous this year. I’m definitely sneezing and hacking more than usual, which has led to some pretty embarrassing moments. Sometimes allergy meds work for me and sometimes they don’t. I’m one of those people who metabolizes meds in a weird way and I never know how they are going to affect me. I was such a big fan of Scooby Doo when I was growing up. I still find myself watching it on occasion, even without kids around. And of course, I always greatly admired Daphne and Velma. Velma was the super smart one who knew everything, and Daphne was charming and pretty. They’re also two strong women and fun to look up to!
