Live simply and be grateful

Live simply and be grateful.

It’s a lesson that we must simply all learn and yet find it difficult to do at times. I strive to make my life simpler by avoiding things that cause me stress, learning how to say now, and trying to remember to take care of myself. I keep trying to find that balance between work and play without overdoing either side. And I try to remember to find at least one thing every day for which I am grateful. There’s something good in each day if you look for it.

What are you doing to make your life more simple? How do you express your gratitude?

Rest and be thankful

“Rest and be thankful.”

~William Wordsworth

This is probably one of the most difficult things for us to do at this time of year, but it is so needed. You cannot pour from an empty cup, right? Or as my man Eddie Vedder once said in an interview back in the ’90s, “You can’t save someone from drowning when you’re barely treading water yourself.” I’ve always held onto that statement. So find at least one thing each day for which you are thankful. When you’re tired, try to take a few minutes for yourself to recharge. You’ll be much better off and so will everyone around you.
