I think Shark Week is probably the most popular week that pops up on my social media each year. I am always amused by it! Whether or not you subscribe to a full-time plant-based diet, you cannot deny that there are a lot of healthy, great-tasting options out there to incorporate even part time. What I love about the Peach Ginger Smoothie is not only the great taste, because I love peach-flavored anything, but also the ginger. The carrot cake smoothie is one that tricks you into thinking you’re enjoying a dessert, even though it is actually healthy.
Tempt your taste buds with the natural sweetness of oranges and carrots, balanced with complementary spices. Top it off with homemade coconut whipped cream for that dessert-y final touch if you want. And sometimes, to mix it up a bit, I may skip the whipped cream, and try other alternative milks for different flavors.
This smoothie recipe makes enough for two people. Plan ahead and plan to share. Or go ahead and be selfish on occasion. 🙂 Continue reading “Indulge in a Carrot Cake Smoothie”

So at your next gathering, why not try this Pink Grapefruit Martini recipe? Kids, or people who choose to not indulge, will enjoy the mocktail version. You could even serve them with your family dinner. I just have visions of sitting out on the deck, poolside, or even at a fun picnic.
