Frankie dreams of being a champion barrel racer. When the opportunity of a lifetime knocks on her door, she moves halfway across the globe to chase it. After having her heart broken, she’s determined to focus on her ambitions. That means no time for cowboys, even if he is bloody cute.
Luciano is well on his way to getting everything he has ever dreamed of. That is, until an Aussie cowgirl crashes into his world, setting his soul on fire. He knows what it takes to get to the top and Frankie has it in spades. Now, all he has to do is convince her to see beyond the suave exterior and give him a chance.
Finally, Frankie has a shot at the championship buckle, but when photos appear of Luciano on the internet, she has to decide whether to stay or walk away. Is she kidding herself, can she have it all? Can Frankie find her courage to trust in love and still chase her Cowgirl’s dream?

This is the first book in a new series. What inspired this series and why a series instead of a standalone?
This is the adventure the young me would have loved to go on! I love the concept of strong female friendships, and also that a woman’s life and dreams doesn’t stop just because a cute cowboy walks into her life. Once I started writing Frankie’s story I always knew it wasn’t going to be a standalone, her friends were screaming out for their own stories. It’s been nice to watch their lives evolve as a group.
How did your background with horses help you to create this book?
I loved showing the relationship people have with their horses, their heart horses, the once in a life time, change your life horses. I hope in my books, you can tell just how special horses have been in my life.
What is it about cowboys and cowgirls that is so appealing in the romance genre?
The strong silent type clad in snug denim? Strong capable women that know their own mind. Especially in Australia I think it is how we still like to think of ourselves. There is a sense of romance to that type of lifestyle.
What is one of the most important things you have learned as you have embarked upon your writing career?
Just start. No matter it is, just start it. If you don’t you’ll never take that next step
What kinds of books do you like to read?
Romance (the most steam I’ll go is sweet), fantasy, historical fiction.
What is something on your bucket list that you have accomplished or would still like to achieve that you are willing to share with us?
Ride at the Olympics, at least there’s no age limits!
