Classic Instant Pot Soup Recipes

Did you get an Instant Pot for Christmas? So many of my friends did and I have to admit that I am a little jealous of them. They seem absolutely amazing and make cooking a breeze. It’s hard to cook for just one person, but one of these would probably make it a lot easier on me, plus I would have fantastic meals that I wouldn’t otherwise make, such as some of these Instant Pot Soup recipes. (This post contains affiliate links. Low-Carb Soup with Ground Beef, Green Beans, and Tomatoes – This soup classic is just like one my mom used to make, only you don’t have to spend as much time as she did making it. Kalyn’s Kitchen does share with you a stovetop version, though, in case you feel like going the old-fashioned route instead of the Instant Pot route.

Nourishing Beef Stew – Beef stew is something else my mother used to make when it was cold outside. Sometimes she would let it cook all day on the stove, popping in to check out it throughout the day. Other times, she would set the crock pot. This version by My Life Cookbook can be done in a fraction of the time and uses a few different ingredients, such as pumpkin.

Instant Pot Beef Stew – If you want to go for a real classic beef stew, try this version from Pressure Cook Recipes. You can either dump it all into the pot and let it go, or cook it in stages for more texture and taste.

Minestrone Soup – Here is another classic soup that you grew up eating. Don’t Mess With Mama uses the Instant Pot for her gluten-free version featuring quinoa instead of pasta.

Chicken Noodle Soup – Eating chicken noodle soup with the wide egg noodles always makes me feel warm and cozy. My mother and grandmother often picked up a homemade version from the locally owned supermarket that far surpassed the canned version. I want it any time I am feeling down and out. You don’t get much more classic than this version from I Save A 2 Z.

Italian Wedding Soup – I wasn’t introduced to this soup until I was an adult, but it’s one that I often turn to when I am under the weather and don’t feel like chicken noodle soup. Predominately Paleo is a healthy version.

Chicken Tortilla Soup – Tortilla soup is a classic that I discovered as an adult. I often made it on the stove, letting it cook all day, or even occasionally in my crock pot. This Instant Pot soup recipe from The Creative Bite only takes 20 minutes!

Cheesy Chicken Enchilada Soup – Almost as much as I love tortilla soup is enchilada soup when I want to add a little spice to life. Here’s a recipe from The Cents’ Able Shopping.

Broccoli Cheese Soup- My sister always made a fantastic broccoli and cheese soup when we lived together. She would spend all day cooking it on our stovetop, so it was perfect for those cold Upstate NY winter weekends. Life Is Sweeter By Design has a yummy and quick version!

Loaded Baked Potato Soup – I was introduced to this bliss when I started working at Outback Steakhouse several years ago. It’s so much better than just regular potato soup, but takes a while to prepare. Key Ingredient has a recipe that gets it ready in no time.

Cheddar Broccoli & Potato SoupCenter Cut Cook blends the best of both worlds by combining potato soup with cheesy broccoli soup.

Fresh Corn Chowder – Corn chowder is another one that makes me think of my mom, but more because it was one that she liked to eat. She would have loved the speed of making this one from Pressure Cooking Today.

French Onion Soup – French onion soup has been one of my favorites since I was a little kid. I always felt so fancy when I could order it when we went out to eat. Making it at home was something that never crossed my mind, but Serious Eats makes it feasible.

Lemon Chicken Rice Soup – I’ve never been a big fan of rice, but somehow it just balances the lemon chicken, such as in this Instant Pot soup from Chef De Home.

White Bean Chicken Chili – White chili is a dish my mom discovered later in life, and one that I definitely preferred to the traditional chili she made when I was younger. Allergy Free Alaska makes a lovely gluten-free version as an Instant Pot Soup recipe.
